Weather Glass with Anchor Bracket

Our 17th Century barometer continues to fascinate. 17th Century glassmakers, bored with the ubiquitous shape, sometimes added a bit of color or decoration to the glass. One of the variations was called the Cockscomb.

In combination with two new wrought iron wall appendages they make welcome additions to our popular line of antique instruments. Fill weather glass with colored water to approximately one inch above where the spout joins the glass body.

Made of iron and glass. Black and clear colors.
