Some boats are for looks. Others actually sail. In the 1920's pond racing was a high-tech business and the racers dressed up their (up to 8 foot long) toy boats with assorted hardware and gear. Bermuda Sloops could be recognized by a long bowsprit on a relatively short hulled boat. As pond racers they were popular in the roaring thirties.
A weighted keel, a relatively waterproof hull and hardware to trim the sails and masts are all there. A rudder quadrant controls steering to some extent. For decor only. Easy to assemble.
Made of wood and cotton cloth. White, brown, black and ivory colors.
Size is 38.98 inches long by 5.51 inches wide and 33.86 inches tall.
