Sailors Valentine Windrose

Square Riggers and Windjammers sailed the oceans in the Age of Sail. Sailors spent weeks in local ports, resting and seeking gifts to take home. Hand made shell compositions were very popular usually framed in octagonal mahogany frames.

19th Century originals are extremely popular and expensive. Flower patterns, hearts and windroses were popular designs and became known as Sailor's Valentines.
