New Version - French Distressed Finish.
A semi-precious trail of color... It was raining as I walked across a trail of brilliant color, shards of green amazonite next to sky blue lazulite, rock crystal mixed with red and green jaspers. Inside the building workers were chipping blocks of semi-precious stones into small spheres. They were smiling and asking me questions in Madagascan French. We discussed the density of the various stones, and they jokingly asked me why I was wearing long pants, shoes and socks in the heat of the day. It reminded me of the relaxed attitude of the Malagasy officials at the European Trade Fair. They all took a snooze in their booth at precisely noon Madagascar time, which was 11:00 a.m. local. They believed that lunch prevailed, and customers were asked to come back later.
Hand turned and hand polished French Distressed Finish mahogany board. 38 marbles, includes 2 spares. Each marble is hand cut from semi-precious quarried mineral. Represented are: petrified wood, petrified coral, amethyst, red jasper, green jasper, fancy jasper, epidote, amazonite, brown batik, honey agate, brain stone, brecciated jasper, calcedony, green sard, phantom agate, purple batik, tea obsidian, white obsidian, marble.
Objective: Remove center (or any other) stone for playing. Play from outside to inside of the board. Goal is to end up with one single stone at the very center. No moving, only jumping (single and multiple) is allowed.
Made of French Distressed Finish mahogany and semi-precious stones. Multi colored. Size is 1.38 inches deep with a 10.0 inch diameter. Gift boxed.
